Top Actors Over 40 – Now Accepting Nominations

Spread the love

Once actors hit a certain age, the opportunities start to slow down…. right?

That hasn’t been our experience.

If anything, some of the most reliable, professional, and in-demand actors we see—both on set and on screen—are over 40. These are the performers who show up prepared, understand the work, and elevate everything around them.

So we decided to make a list of the most freaking awesome actors over 40 (non-multi-millionaires preferred)

We’re officially opening nominations for our Top Actors Over 40 – 2026 list.

Why This List Exists

This list is about working actors.

The ones who are:

  • Booking consistently
  • Delivering strong performances
  • Trusted by directors and casting teams
  • Showing up and making productions better

We talk to filmmakers all the time who are looking for talent they can rely on. This list is designed to become a resource they can actually use.

Who Can Be Nominated

Anyone.

Seriously!

You can nominate:

  • Actors you’ve worked with
  • Actors you’ve cast
  • Actors you’ve watched and been impressed by
  • Or yourself

The only criteria:

  • They are 40 or older
  • They are actively working in 2026

That’s it.

And just to be clear—this is not limited to Utah.

While the Utah International Film Festival is curating the list, we’re looking at actors working everywhere.

How the List Is Built

Ya gotta nominate ’em for them to be considered at all and then each nomination gets scored.

We look at a combination of:

  • Recent work and credits
  • Industry activity and consistency
  • Festival presence
  • Input from filmmakers, casting directors, and producers

This helps us build something that reflects real working actors, not just social savvy folks with an engaged audience.

Why Your Nomination Matters

A lot of great actors don’t promote themselves.

They’re too busy working!

Which means they can easily get overlooked in conversations like this.

When you nominate someone, you’re helping spotlight the people who are actually out there doing the work—and doing it well.

Deadline to Submit

Nominations are open now and will close on:

April 4th

After that, we’ll compile the data, review submissions, and release the final list.

Submit a Nomination

If someone comes to mind right now, don’t overthink it.

That’s usually a good sign they belong on the list.
