We had a great experience at UFF. The awards ceremony was by far the best one we’ve been apart of. The spirit of community was also exceptional at UFF. Everyone came together in a spirit of filmmaking brotherhood and sisterhood. They did a great of fostering films from all walks of life. We can’t wait to go back.

Starting with great communication, this festival is one of the best. Nicely put together to connect filmmakers for learning, networking and seeing good films. The Awards show at the end is so elegant and exciting! The event venue is stunning, the entertainment is first class (choir, orchestra, singer-soloist, aerialist entertainers), the breadth of award categories is wide, the trailers put together for each category is comprehensive, and the award presentations are fun. It was an honor to be selected, to be nominated, and to win a category! Many thanks to the Workmans for all they do for film in Utah!

Absolutely one of the best! Fantastic communication and a well-run festival, from great films to inspiring workshops and fun networking events. The pre-show was also fantastic as were the children’s choir halfway through. The festival definitely stands out from the rest. When my next film is ready, Utah will be one of the first I submit to. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

The Utah Film Awards is incredible. The environment is so friendly and so supportive of one another. This event has changed hundreds of lives including mine. You get to network with filmmakers from all around the world. Warren and Dora do an outstanding job every year. The festival film screenings are amazing and the award show is out of this world incredible. The filmmakers are so friendly. We are all one big happy family that I am honored to call. I would totally recommend! Thank you Utah Film Awards! We’ll see you next year!

This was an amazing festival. Communication was clear and timely leading up to the event. We attended the event and had a great time and met some new friends. Warren and Dora were wonderful hosts. Our lead actress got to be a presenter and was so excited and had an absolutely fabulous time. We will be entering again.

Fantastic Festival! Phenomenal films, great opportunities for networking and the seminars were very informative and hosted by an all-star line-up of industry professionals including distributors. This truly is a “must” attend festival, especially if you don’t know the business side of the industry, distribution or basically “what happens to my film now.” I would certainly put this festival in the top 10 on film freeway!

Thank you so much to the Utah Film Awards for providing an inclusive atmosphere. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. They provided educational panels and gave us the opportunity to put them into action then and there. I left overjoyed. Can’t wait to do it again. 

There are many great things to say about the Utah Film Festival + Awards, but I’ll just name a few of my favorites. Warren + Dora pour their heart and soul into this event and it shows! They LOVE filmmakers and it’s pretty clear that they’re working their tails off to create something that is supportive, nurturing and encouraging to independent artists. It works. My team + I leave every year feeling valued and inspired to go make more work – and after all, isn’t that the WHOLE point of this? The people that come to this festival are open-hearted, inclusive and eager to mingle, which makes it really fun. I’ve definitely made some new friends through UFA and I hope to come back next year!

The Utah Film Festival provides filmmakers from all walks of life the opportunity to show audiences what they can do without having A-list celebrities in their film unlike other festivals. They look in depth at each film, picking incredibly unique films. They provide great opportunities for all filmmakers who are selected as the networking for the event is incredible. The hosts, Warren and Dora, put an extremely large amount of work into a festival that any filmmaker who attends the festival, will see. People flock in from all across the world to attend this festival including even some very notable people in the entertainment industry from Alex Boye to Oscar nominee, Taylor Sheridan. It was an honor to have my film, “Killer Karma”, selected as a nominee for “Budget Under $500” and “Filmmaker Under 18”. I put hours and hours of work into this film and I’m grateful to the Utah Film Festival for being able to see that. You will only be doing yourself a disservice by not submitting to this unique festival that puts on a show or both the viewer and filmmakers benefit.

My best experience in a film festival so far! Unfortunately I could not attend the event but their communication is outstanding, extremely professional and they completely stand out from all the other festivals. They notified us quickly when we were selected, gave each nominee a full review, did a promo video for each categories and gave us a bunch of perks! On my next short film, they are the first that I’ll submit to!

5 STARS! As an artist, I create projects that make a difference and shed light on subject matters deserving of more attention from society and from the filmmaking community. We are thrilled that the judges at UTAH Film Fest & Awards recognized the importance of including our film STRONGER THAN PRETTY! It’s such an honor! This festival is organized and communicative, and I plan to submit all my upcoming films to this wonderful platform! Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for choosing my fantasy screenplay “Legacy” an Official Selection for the best Feature Screenplay category. Even though I didn’t win, it still feels like I did! I’ll definitely submit the prequel next year!

I couldn’t attend the festival but the communication from Dora and Warren was exceptional. Since I couldn’t make it to the awards night, I was invited to make an acceptance speech video as my film was nominated for Best Documentary Short. It’s these little details that make Utah Film Festival filmmaker-friendly and simply awesome.
