The Perfect Murder
Vikkramm Chandirramani killed it in the crime thriller genre with his latest short film “The Perfect Murder” This is the kind of movie that will set off your thoughts the way it surprisingly did mine. Planning the perfect murder may not be on your priority list (I certainly hope not), but I am sure that “The Perfect Murder” will be your top priority on your must-see list of films after reading this review. So, my friends, if you are tired of watching of “How To Get Away With Murder” and are craving something that is juicier, fresh, and mind-blowing, not to mention with a cast of extremely talented actors, well you’re in luck because I’m about to present you the movie that you’ll be dying to see.
The movie is about a husband and a wife from two different status in life trying to prove that they are right for each other, especially in the eyes of Neha’s father. Neha a beautiful, hardworking entrepreneur who came from a wealthy family married the handsome but broke, aspiring actor Kabir. Pressured to prove to her father that she married the right man, Neha urged Kabir to divert all of his attention and interest in their family business. However, Kabir does not have the heart for business, instead of agreeing with Neha, he pursued her to fund an upcoming movie that he is starring in. A powerful and prudent woman Neha is, she, in turn, slap her husband with some sense and the reality of the world that Kabir is trying to pursue and advised him to be the dutiful husband he should be and help her with their business. Little did Neha know, Kabir has a lady in waiting on the side, Carol. Fed up of being the mistress, Carol vented all her frustrations at Kabir and suggested an idea that will grant them a ticket out of their undesirable situation.
I am pretty sure you are all cooking up ideas in your mind on who’s planning the perfect murder and how is it going to take place. That I have to leave hanging folks, I don’t want to spoil the perfectly cooked climax of the film. Instead, I’m going to give you the outstanding qualities that made me adore this masterpiece of director Vikkramm Chandirramani. One is the quality of the film. It is very evident with its cinematography, production setting, editing, sound mix, and directing, that all who contributed to making this film exerted their utmost skill and hard work, and it sure did pay off. Next is the brilliant cast, starting with the stellar performance of the two lead characters Neha and Kabir, played by Samvedna Suwalka and Rohan Gandotra, as well as the role of Carol, which was excellently portrayed by Niharica Raizada.
Aside from plotting the perfect murder Vikkramm Chandirramani also made an impeccable choice for a story to depict. There was intensity in every scene in addition to the mystery, suspense, and thriller that immediately captivated my attention. This movie is undoubtedly one of his best films. I am sure and certainly will be anticipating for more from this outstanding visionary.
