Love in Kilnerry
We live in a world defined by many laws. There are laws governed by men to keep the orderly structure of how we live, laws of science that define our existence, and laws of nature that connects us all living beings here on earth. But what would happen if all these three laws somehow intertwined with one another? Sure this happens a lot around us, without us even noticing it, but what if we are notified that a course reaction of a scientific study gives out an innate adverse human response that can equate to a lawful offense if uncontrolled? Curious of what comes out of it, huh? Well, folks of what I have recently experienced with this film I am about to share with you all is that it is the perfect equation for a remarkably extraordinary movie. And the title of this amazing comedy feature film is “Love in Kilnerry” by the multi-talented Daniel Keith and Snorri Sturluson.
Love in Kilnerry is probably one of the most memorable films I have seen this season. It is something that I can positively share with people because of its great story and the heartfelt moral that comes along with it. This film is not the typical feel-good movie; it is an extremely feel-good story about self-discovery, self-love, falling in love, second chances in love, unconditional love, and love beyond its wordy description. For a story set in what seems to be the best description of the phrase “the good old’ town”, the unraveling of the story is impressively surprising. It was unique. It unveiled more than what I was expecting, and I am hands up impressed. Directors Daniel Keith and Snorri Sturluson took me to a remote old town where its inhabitants are used to living the same way they have been living for so long, dull, same old, and aging. That was until an announcement was made at a town hall meeting that shook up their aging town and their lives forever.
For me, this movie stands out among others because of every distinct character that played a part in the story, and of course, the amazing actors who live up to them and played their part amazingly well. It has been quite a long time since I have seen a comedy film wherein the cast blends well with each other, that everything accounts as a team effort. The quality of the film is also one of its high lights. From sound design, visual effects, cinematography, editing, and directing was seamlessly perfect. It gave me a splendid viewing experience.
It was also another surprise for me to find out that this movie is the directorial debut of Daniel Keith and Snorri Sturluson. I am impressed by their collaboration, I would have never guessed that this is their first movie because everything was made perfectly well. Great job on that. And lastly, I love this movie because it is one of those comedy films that doesn’t only focus on making the film fun and entertaining but also gives importance and remind us about significant basic human needs qualities that at times we tend over-analyze or neglect because we are afraid of the outcome, that it all comes naturally if we just let it. Amazing film, so glad to have seen this. Kudos to team Love in Kilnerry!
