Spread the love

We live in a world where we are in love with what is beautiful. Where we fancy and adore those that are pleasing to the eyes. Where something gratifying is expected to appeal to the taste of many, provide satisfaction, and meet the criteria of the general likeability, which are also not limited to the physical attributes but on what is also depicted by his personality when in public. Sounds very much like people we know, but don’t really know, ain’t it? They can be the Insta-famous celebrities we watch on social media, Influencers we follow, celebrities on T.V, or the most recent politician you have elected. Often, these people live up to what their supporters expected, they do their best to keep up and maintain the image that they have already established, but how much do we know about them? And how much are they hiding from us? Are we often fooled by the facade that pleases us? And allow them to play the card of deceit for as long as they want? Intriguing right? There are so many of them out there, but today folks, we are going to dive deep into the dark side of a person loved by many, a man who is known with good virtues and puts the well being of his constituents first before him, admired by many and elected to serve the nation, director Gregory Fisco gives the heart-pounding psycho suspense thriller “The Congressman”

Director Gregory Fisco who also wrote the story of this movie created a brilliantly fine depiction of a tale of deceit. I am in love with the unpredictability and the crazy psycho feel of this movie. Being a fan of the psycho-thriller genre, I have a high level of criteria that needs to be met. I want to see beyond the usual box of the perceived psychopath. I want to see something unexpected yet very much controlling which drives you to triggers of anxiety with bewilderment and excitement, and that was exactly how I felt while watching this movie. Folks, the story is a gold mine. It is deranged and superb, and I love it. I wouldn’t be dwelling much with the details of the story because it is so good that you have to catch it yourself once it hits theaters or festivals near you.

However, I’d be kind enough to share the excellent criteria that made this film stand out. First, the cinematography is mesmerizing. The quality is flawless. It is not just a series of beautiful shots, but it also created that trigger for mystery as if it was talking to me, especially the first few parts of the film. Next, is the music score. This criterion makes or breaks a psycho film, believe me, it does. And the musical score in this film will undoubtedly make its mark on your head for the rest of your life. And last, but not least, the cast was amazing, lead actor Jeremy Adams in particular. The personality he gave to his character was exquisitely sick. The transition from his good old congressman front to the true after-hours congressman Rellik was flawlessly natural, and top-caliber acting indeed. A short film as excellent as this makes me love my job more, and I hope that there will be a feature version of this or probably a series, and I’m pretty sure many, especially me, will go crazy about it. High props to director Gregory Fisco and his team for this outstanding film, congrats!
