Founded in 2011, the Utah Film Festival is one of the world’s “Top 100 Best Reviewed Film Festivals” according to FilmFreeway. With thousands of attendees over the years, the Utah Film Festival has become the event for up and coming filmmakers while also drawing the attention of Hollywood’s celebrity elite. Filmmakers and actors such as Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone), Sean Astin (Stranger Things), and Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) have all been part of the Utah Film Festival over the years making the festival more of a draw for filmmakers and general audiences.
In 2022, the Utah Film Festival partnered with the Towne Hub to expand the festival year round to include screenings, panels and networking events. Events like “Film Speed Networking” brought over a hundred filmmakers together in one room for one-on-one face-to-face connections. These connections directly led to paid job offers on feature films, commercials and series.
Our “Ask a Casting Director” panel provided actors an opportunity to pick the minds of the gatekeepers of some of the worlds biggest shows to gain an advantage of being cast.
