DJ Hansen’s short mystery film “The Card Dealer” was really something. It was so good and creative, I’m totally impressed. This young director from Utah, who also wrote the story, struck me with the way he intertwined the lives of the characters in the story. It got me engaged in putting the piece of every character together to be able to paint the true picture. Other than that the young cast also exhibits great potential in acting. But what amazed me more was, this movie’s budget was below $500 and by a first-time filmmaker. Indeed a crafty and resourceful creation from one of Utah’s young promising directors.
