Spread the love

Today we are spotlighting Jenessa Sheffield. Jenessa an American Actress from Salt Lake City, Utah. Known for her work in the TV series Yellowstone. She went to Brigham Young University where she ran hurdles for the track team. Her love for competition and performance developed when she realized the power of being assertive, decisive, present and dependable. She received her bachelor’s in anthropology because of her love for understanding people’s identity and how cultural and religious beliefs influence the development of one’s character.

What are some of the projects you have worked on in the last 12 months?

These are a few sets I’ve worked on this year:

– Alien Abductions

– The Graduates

– Algea God of Pain

– Compassion Spreads Like Wildfire

– a few Chamber media fitness commercials

– a couple cinema forte commercials.

– a commercial for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Who is your favorite person on set?

My favorite people on set have been the crew, recently the hair & makeup artists. I enjoy their creative energy and calming presence. The crew is the MVP without them we actors seize to exist. I enjoy getting to know new crew positions and understanding the value they bring to set.

What project have you worked on that made you a better professional?

Being on the set of Yellowstone made me a better professional because I was given the space to “fail” to try things my way and the directors way. I learned the power of vulnerability and that choices aren’t good or bad, they are opportunities to have the courage to try something different.

What advice do you have for your fellow actors or for people interested in pursuing acting as a career?

My advice to fellow actors is to enjoy the audition. Use it as an opportunity to perform and have fun with it! It’s not about booking the job, it’s about exploring your skill set and pushing the limits.
