Associate Producer
We’re rapidly growing and excited to hire for this position! As an Associate Producer, you are a crucial member of our team, helping to create amazing videos for our clients. The ideal candidate has an incredible attitude with strong initiative, a willingness to learn, and who can lead shoots.
You are highly detailed and hyper organized, with a strong background in managing complex projects in a fast-paced production environment. You can anticipate needs and challenges before they arise, and thrive in thinking on your feet and problem solving at a moment’s notice.
General Responsibilities:
- Drives preparation and execution of filming to ensure quality of work meets our standards and client objectives, team and client communications, and hand-off to post-production
- Mentor other producers to success
- Contribute to a culture of excellence
Pre-Production Planning
- Sit in on a pre-production meeting to gain understanding of scope and ensure proper production essentials are included in the estimates
- Be familiar with project plans, budgets, schedules, asset management, and workflow for assigned projects to match potential changes
- Create production schedules, call sheets and shot list
- Research and secure all props, talent, and/or locations needed for shoots
- Manage communication and booking with subcontractors
- Proofread scripts (if applicable)
- Submit project doc in Asana for management
Production Support
- Handle all location logistics, talent coordination, and H/MU schedule
- Manage and organize release forms (Medical Release, Photo/Video Release, Subcontractor Form)
- Assist with staging scenes on set
- Facilitate interviews for testimonial style videos, client events, etc.
Administrative
- Manage production budgets, including entering receipts and expenses
- Manage and update subcontractor listings (contact info, positions, and rates)
- Ensure crafty is prepped and ready for each applicable project
- Run errands and perform other support tasks as assigned
Required skills/competencies:
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (must be willing to make and take phone calls with clients)

BW Productions is proud to offer paid internship opportunities at our Art District office space in downtown Salt Lake. Each year we have 3 different internship programs that roughly align with local college/university semesters.
- Spring Cohort – Beginning of January to the middle of April
- Summer Cohort – Beginning of May to the middle of August
- Fall Cohort – Beginning of September to the middle of December
