Maven Cinema in American Fork, Utah, is excited to announce its popular monthly event, “Open Cinema,” for January 2nd at 9:00 PM. Similar to the popular concept of “Open Mic Night” for singers and comedians, “Open Cinema” offers aspiring filmmakers a unique platform to showcase their talent on the big screen.

This exciting event invites filmmakers from across the region to participate, providing them with an opportunity to share their creative works in a real theater setting. For a nominal fee of $5, filmmakers can present their projects, whether it’s a music video, a short film, or a movie trailer. This initiative aims to empower local talent, allowing them to have their creations screened in a professional theater environment, gaining exposure and connecting with fellow artists and film enthusiasts.

Warren Workman, the organizer of the event and publicist behind the Utah International Film Festival, shared: “After the great turnout and successful screening of several short films and trailers we knew we had to make this a monthly event.”
