Filmmaker – Ike Mauga

Festival Review – This film festival is always such a blast to attend. This is my 3rd year attending, and second year I submitted a project here. The festival hosts went above and beyond this year, and provided more than just screenings to really help engage networking between filmmakers.

There were also lots a valuable panels and workshops during the festival featuring industry professionals who had wonderful insight and the newest filmmaking equipment in the market.

My only trouble with this festival was that with so many good events going on, some panels overlapped with screenings. Not to mention, the panels and the screenings were at different locations that were about 15 minutes apart.

The good news is, this film festival offered a digital pass through a third party app, and I was still able to see most of the films I missed out on, which is something I rarely see in other festivals. This is a wonderful film festival with probably some of the coolest looking awards I’ve ever seen if you’re lucky enough to win one.

I will definitely return to this festival!
