A Quiet Room in Walthamstow

Spread the love

Run, Jump, Shout, be scared and thrilled, this is what you will get upon watching the gothic horror short film “A Quiet Room in Walthamstow”. This is a kind of film wherein it tends to play on both the thrill and the fear of the unknown. Director Tiago Teixeira an award winning individual in the film industry has done a unique approach in crafting this film. He executed the story according to the plan, wherein those who will watch it will have a complete experience of excitement and horror and that makes the movie a good catch.

The story is all about a young woman that transferred to London and stayed in a shared house. This is a common situation in real life wherein people who go and explore new places will stay in a shared house for it is much cheaper than a hotel. During the course of the story, there is a hidden mystery that evolves in the house. The Lady in the house and the Land Lord play their role very well that creates a creepy environment for our lead actress. Moving on, the lead character has done a splendid acting scenes that as a viewer you can feel the horror transmitting on you seat as you watch it. The movie keeps getting better especially when the lead actress tells that she is having a hard time in paying her rent, and that when the twist of the story will occur.

The plot of the film can really catch the attention of the audience. We all know that a horror movie really sells to the public, but this one is different because of the approach it has is unique. It is a blend of old and new scare tactics that makes the film a remarkable one.

When it comes to the screenplay, Lily Smith and the rest of the crew has surpass the expectation of the writer for they deliver their roles beyond the one needed from them. Although there are things that need improvement, these are just minimal. We cannot expect a perfect film, for when that day comes, then that will be the time when there are no longer rooms for development. Having a good and scary sound effect is needed and expected to give a horror movie its big punch to the viewing public. This is one area where the film needs to enhance and improve its setting for I know there is still a big chance they can adjust it so that the outcome will be much scarier. Other than that, all are well and good.

It is not every time that we can encounter a short horror film that is so effective to its viewer. I do give a big round of hands for making this movie a promising one. It can even be suggested that it deserve a sequel or a series for this kind of craft is an absolute treasure to the industry. We need this kind of film to keep the spark of the viewing public until the next generation.
