In an exclusive interview with Warren Workman, the director of the Utah International Film Festival, John Cooper of Cooper Home Entertainment (CHE) unveiled their latest project, “Bound in Blood.” The film promises a gripping narrative that revolves around 16-year-old Jess Argos, identified as the prophesied “Destroyer of the Gods.” Bound in Blood delves into a tale of familial bonds, love, and forgiveness, set against the backdrop of battling Greek Gods and their monstrous minions. Drawing inspiration from popular shows like Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and Percy Jackson, Bound in Blood stands out for its ability to captivate audiences without relying on explicit content, making it suitable for viewers aged 8 and above.

What sets CHE apart is its foundation in family. CEO Stephenie Cooper, CFO, and Director of Photography James Cooper, and Chief Creative Officer and Head Screenwriter Jon Cooper form the core of CHE, emphasizing their commitment to creating clean and safe media both on set and on screen. Jon Cooper highlighted the unique aspect of CHE’s productions, stating, “When you get involved with a CHE production, you become family, and we treat you as such. That mutual love and respect are what every production at CHE is founded upon.”

Cooper Home Entertainment aims to redefine the boundaries of entertainment by showcasing life as it could be, void of graphic content and offensive language. “Bound in Blood” epitomizes this mission, offering a dark and action-packed narrative without compromising on its family-friendly approach.

The local film community in Utah played a pivotal role in supporting CHE’s venture. Many local talents, sharing CHE’s passion for clean media, volunteered their time and expertise, enabling the production of “Bound in Blood.” Jon Cooper expressed his gratitude, saying, “We love and truly appreciate those we have met here. We are here for them, and they are here for us.”

However, crowdfunding posed a significant challenge. CHE devised a comprehensive plan, involving actors, supporters, Moore PR, and local businesses, to meet their crowdfunding goals. This campaign not only serves as a funding effort but also acts as a prelaunch marketing campaign, building anticipation for the film’s release in the Spring of 2024.
