Compassion Spreads Like Wildfire: The Vickie Minor Story

It is expected to see people running away from danger but it takes a special type of person to rush into a fire to save others. That’s exactly what the brave men and women do every year when wildland fires threaten the safety of us all. 

“Compassion Spreads Like Wildfire” is based on the experiences of Vickie Minor. Dozens of crew members lose their lives annually but when 14 perished in one fire alone Vickie was moved to see what could be done to help the families of those that were lost.  

“Somebody had to help and it might as well have been me” says Sue Rowe, portraying the real life Vickie Minor.

The documentary uses actors to recreate real moments in Vickies history, highlighting the real drama that took place in Colorado. This is an uplifting film of courage, bravery and an abundance of compassion.
