It will make you wonder how long can someone put up until he or she has finally had enough.
The lead actress in this film really did great. The viewers can easily relate to her through the emotions she showed in the film and the way she delivers her lines. She really shined in all of her scenes, but the best, I guess, was in the ending. There was so much emotions in her stare, you’ll never guess what she has on her mind.
The lead actor’s performance was also fantastic. He also did amazing in the dialogues throughout the whole film. The viewers will be so motivated to hate his character, which means he was effective in his role. The best proof of his effectiveness was the scene when they were in the couch and he was on his phone while lecturing Victoria that she should change herself by finding solutions to her anger problems. That was such a simple scene but it speaks volumes on how someone is when he or she is trying to manipulate someone else.
The screenplay was so efficient. There is no dull moment. Plus, the audience will be able to easily understand and relate with the story plot even from the beginning. However, it is still impossible to lose interest in the middle of the movie because it sparks curiosity about how the couple would end up. And this is another film with a shocking ending. The last scene will surely spark a lot of questions in the viewers’ minds.
The musical score was terrific. It will make the viewers anticipate for the film to be a fantastic melodrama. The music pieces are perfectly chosen for every scene. The emotional effectiveness is great!
Gaslighting’s overall cinematography was so well done. One can effortlessly appreciate the close shots and the mid shots in the film. Because of that, the viewers can feel more connected to the emotions of the characters.
In this film, the viewers are catalyzed to check their relationships and how they are in their respective relationships. Like, have they have become the toxic one or the one who is taking the other for granted? Or, have they been taken for granted lately? But this applies to all relationships, not just the romantic ones. Everyone can relate to this movie. Very well-done!
