“IT IS CLEAN” wraps principle photography

IT IS CLEAN is a short thriller written by award-winning actor and first-time director Paul Cartwright. It stars Ethan Kartchner in the title role with Jade Gottfredson, Tiffany Gale, and Paul Cartwright in the cast. The story follows Ethan’s character, Kenny, as he checks names off his list through a process called “cleaning.”

This psychological thriller is being produced by Pepperjack Pictures, which was founded by Tiffany Gale, with co-founders Ricardo Costa, Ethan Kartchner, and Jade Gottfredson. They are partnering with another Utah-based company, PTC Productions, LLC, founded by Paul Cartwright. These two production companies are focused on increasing professional opportunities for Utah filmmakers while mentoring newcomers through experience, branding, and networking as they improve their craft.

IT IS CLEAN was filmed entirely by local Utah cast and crew in rural Utah; it is currently in post-production and is expected to make its festival appearance October 2022.

The crew features the talents of Alan Baird as Director of Photography, assisted by Elizabeth Castillo as 1st Assistant Camera, Dallin Call and Rachelle Price in G&E and James Kettle as sound mixer. Hair and makeup by Eve Keener, wardrobe styling by Brittney Hale, Ricardo Costa as 1st Assistant Director, Tiffany Gale as Set Designer, Mary Hailstone as Script Supervisor, and Dave Martinez as Production Assistant. Adrian Miller is currently composing the score for this thriller.
