Kate Whitaker
Kate Whitaker has been a full-time actor for almost two years. She loves french fries, her dog, and water. Her main focus is commercial acting and modeling, but she has done some small film projects as well! She is represented by McCarty Talent Agency.
What are some of the projects you have worked on in the last 12 months?
I was principal actor in an ad that ran on Channel 5 during the Super Bowl this year. I’ve also worked on The Crimson Bounder, Christmas with the Campbells (stand-in), and a social media shoot with Pepsi (hand model)
Who is your favorite person on set?
If you’ve ever made me laugh on set, you’re my favorite person.
What project have you worked on that made you a better professional?
Honestly, working with Ike Mauga recently on a short he wrote and directed. I played one of the two lead roles. It taught me a lot about how best to run a set, and I super appreciated Ike’s professionalism and enthusiasm for his art.
What advice do you have for your fellow actors or for people interested in pursuing acting as a career?
To my fellow actors: you’re enough. Don’t develop your skills, get training, and be persistent from a place of “I’m not enough,” do it out of self-love and to better prepare yourself for future opportunities. You ARE enough and great things are coming.
