Lost At Desert
Have you ever experienced being drained with problems and at the same time nothing seems to be going your direction, and worst, other people’s trouble appears to follow you anywhere you go? Which one will you prioritize to resolve? Yours whom no one seems to know or those around you, that runs toward you for help? I suppose, like what many of us will do, you’ll also choose to help others prior to solving your own dilemma, it is human nature to be selfless, compassionate, and above all kind. That is what I learned from watching Lost at Desert. And I am pretty sure you’ll also feel the warmth of this tear-jerker.
The story revolves around Len, a father, friend, ex-lover, and a real estate agent. Len is quite a busy man and aside from that, a lady’s man too. Though he appears to be fine on the outside, Len is a mess on the inside, and that also includes the inside of his home. There are quite a number of people that got tangled up into Len’s crazy storm as he goes out to look for his ex-girlfriends troubled son, Bobby. And once he gets this done, he’ll be forgiven for all the wrong he had done for the last ten years. It all seems so easy until situations keep popping up from one place to another. Aside from all the chaos around him, Len has a runaway on the side that keeps him from smoothly accomplishing his mission. Will he be able to bring back Bobby and go back to the home he once called or will be left deserted?
I must say that Sila Agavale who excellently portrayed the lead character “Len” just gave an all-out performance in this movie. I certainly will remember his performance for a very long time. He just set the bar higher in the best actor category. Seeing him perform was like watching the Academy Award winner, Benicio del Toro. There was a mystery in his performance and he was able to smoothly switch the gravity of his emotion which is needed in the scene most especially at the movie’s climax where he finally found bobby and tries to convince him to come with him. But that’s not all, he’ll surely get a lot of recognition because of the movie’s ending scene, the scene that I would not reveal, but it surely broke my heart. You’re truly exceptional Sila Agavale, your passion for acting made Len’s character heartfelt and pure.
Sila Agavale and Ernesto Brosa creators of the heart touching one of a kind film Lost at Desert, centers the plot of its story about forgiveness, love for family, kindness, and selflessness. They took me into a fictional story that felt very real in scenarios, problems, and characters. They made the lead character Len, someone like most of us, seeking what his heart’s true desires; forgiveness, love, and family. A person who just like anyone of us, struggling to keep sane as problems drive us in a whirlwind of insanity. How will Len surpass this sand storm when he seems Lost at Desert?
