Spread the love

Majority of my love for films belong to the action genre. The reason behind it was probably because of the influence of my father and his fondness of watching action movies. I remember when I was young, I always enjoy our little time together watching in our Betamax, VHS Player, then eventually evolved into the VCD/DVD player and now in multimedia devices. From Clint Eastwood, Chuck Norris, Harrison Ford, Al Pachino, Sly, Van Damme, Kurt Russell and to Keanu Reeves (I can go all day with that list) these actors and most of the action films they star in sets the bar high to the qualities I consider for a good action movie.

The thing with action films is that it magnifies how good the lead actor is when it comes to not just giving that macho personality to the character that he plays but also in aligning the emotional connection to the story of the character. Aside from that, the action genre also exhibits the expertise of the director in creating creative scenes that match the intensity of the story. I may be talking too much right now (apologies for it) I am just too thrilled to introduce to you our feature film for today. It is my kind of movie, the one I have been waiting for to feature. An impressive collaboration of the sci-fi and action genre that will have you undoubtedly begging for more, from the notably skilled actor, now directing a film of his own, none other than Kenny Sheard and his short film “Neon Rabbits” Folks if you love John Wick Chapter 2 and 12 Strong as much as I did, well then you have to prepare yourself because you are about to embrace one of the best action films of 2019.

“Neon Rabbits” entails a heart-racing story of Max Hayden, a soldier who came home after a decade of service overseas to search for the people who brutally attacked his sister. This search further led him to the iniquitous world his sister seems to have a deep involvement. How much more is he willing to go through to avenge his sister when the path towards it leads him deeper into a sinkhole of more bloodshed and unknown motives. Well, I think we’ll just have to wait to find out.

Watching “Neon Rabbits” just made me love my job more. Seriously, I am blown away. The caliber is Hollywood blockbuster expertise. The action stunts were to die for, I love the intensity in every scene, plus the whole cast was marvelous. I also like the exquisitely beautiful cinematography and the sequentially engaging storyline. This movie is probably this year’s bomb in the best in short film and best director category. Director Kenny Sheard exhibits his knowledge in tactical marine combats and skills as he brings to life Max Hayden’s character, who was masterfully played by Josh Kelly, I love the personality he injects in Max, a certain kind of enigma that captivates me to know what the future beholds for his character. Definitely, something to watch out my dear readers.

All in all, Neon Rabbits passed my quality ratings with flying colors. I had an awesome time watching this film. I am also beyond impressed with the mastery that director Kenny Sheard displayed in this movie. It was flawless and high caliber, Bravo. I am highly anticipating for the development of this short film, hopefully, there will be, fingers crossed. To the entire team of Neon Rabbits Congratulations on this award-worthy film, Cheers!
