Jeanette Campbell screenplay”Good Deeds” weaves a complex web of a good man thrust into an unexpected and challenging situation, where a reluctant group of allies races against time to dispose of evidence, leading them down a perilous path.

Campbell drew inspiration from a personal connection, stating, “GOOD DEEDS is a story I started writing because a friend inspired me as a character. I wanted to write something that was sort of serious but also sort of funny, for a diverse cast aimed mostly toward my Polynesian friends. I wanted to place a good man in a difficult situation, and that’s exactly what happens.”

The main character, Shawn, undergoes a transformative journey throughout the screenplay. Campbell notes, “For Shawn in GOOD DEEDS, I think he learns not to be quite as naive. He also learns more than he wants to about disposing of a dead body, but perhaps that’s not evolving in a good way? lol”

Delving into the joys of screenwriting, Campbell expresses the instant gratification she finds in the craft. “As someone who started in the book world, screenwriting is more of an instant gratification thing for me. In a short period of time, you may have crafted a scene that you can so vividly see in your mind. Something really funny, or happy, or sad. It takes longer to get there with books.”
