This movie has a unique plot line, nothing of the ordinary movies shown today. It tells the story of an Argentinian veteran soldier and a French Canadian woman who had a great connection with each other despite their language difference. The soldier Sebastian was kind and helpful to the casualties of war and made sure that all of them are taken care of, but his act of kindness to a wounded enemy brought upon him hell that he carries on to his thoughts every single day of his life.

It made him distant himself to humanity until he met a very beautiful and interesting French Canadian woman named Helen who shares his love for organic food and rice. She also has bewitching like abilities that enable her to deeply connect with Sebastian’s past. They shared a very special bond despite speaking a different language. There were also stories from the past and characters that gave more depth to the story. But an unexpected turn of events happened to Sebastian and Helen’s life after they have met.

The overall quality of this film was very well made. The digital quality of the film was really good, as well as the visual effects. There was a very notable scene of animation and artistry that delivered unforgettable viewing experience. There was a scene where Helen was trying to dive into Sebastian’s past, the way it was translated was very artistic, it was very powerful. The directing and editing of the film was flawless, you will be engaged in watching this film from begging to end. The sequencing of flashbacks and current time was meticulously put together to stimulate the viewer’s interest in the film. The music added strong factors in making the scenes engaging and exciting. The chosen locations were also exquisite, and the concept of how each scene was shot was brilliant. The narration was enticing, clear, and mysterious. The mysterious way of its delivery gave the story additional spice. The main characters’ acting was very bold. There were life and personality with the way they have portrayed their characters. These actors displayed high-quality effortless acting with a deep connection to their characters which was clearly displayed in every scene. Evidently, this movie is a must watch, Rice: Never Against the Grain will give viewers an extraordinary viewing pleasure.
