Tara Berrett – That’s a Wrap
He had the opportunity to interview Tara Berrett, the filmmaker behind That’s a Wrap. That’s a Wrap is an official selection in the 12th annual Utah Film Festival.
That’s a Wrap is a rockumentary that takes a behind the scenes look at the mayhem that goes into making a movie. Cast, crew and chaos!
What was the inspiration to make That’s a Wrap?
Part from the movie “Living in Oblivion” and part from the tv series “The Office”. Mainly I wanted to create a fun movie that I wanted to also act in!
From idea to completion, how did this production change?
It kept getting bigger! It is a sequel to “And Action” and I would have loved to have a middle version called “Cut”!
What was the biggest challenge in getting That’s a Wrap made?
Co-ordinating everyone’s schedules!
What do you think is the most important takeaway from That’s a Wrap?
Be adaptive, always have a plan B. If you get good actors who are also good people it makes the whole experience amazing!
If you could have a do over with That’s a Wrap is there anything that you would do differently? If so, what would that be?
I would have loved to keep adding characters…
How can we learn more about you and your projects?
I hope to get a psychological thriller produced within 2023. I’ve already written the script.
