SPOILERS!!!

Do not watch this film. Don’t watch this if you can’t handle a good scare. Don’t watch this film if you are scared of deep waters. Don’t watch this film unless you believe you can take it because trust me, you will never be the same again.

Director Josh Garretson and producers Dora and Warren Workman take you for this cursed horror ride in the film “Water Babies” as you learn about a couple that is desperately trying to conceive. Lizzy (Kenna Denali) and Jake (Spencer Jarman) take you along on their terrifying adventure as they show their unmatched chemistry throughout the film as a couple.

This film is unmatched; you feel a rollercoaster of joy, empathy, and horror within fourteen minutes. The well-paced film “Water Babies” makes my heart race as the eerie music joins in and out throughout the experience. I must say, Josh Garretson did an admirable job transporting the audience through sound and outstanding performances.

An intense running scene makes you not want to look away. As you hear the racing music, you can’t help but zoom your eyes into the screen. You hear the water crash as Lizzy rushes into the lake, followed by Jake, to save (what is believed to be) the baby in the water. Because Lizzy can’t swim, Jake heroically saves her as he pulls her lifeless body onto the boat, relieved as Lizzy returns to him seconds later. The relief doesn’t last long, as their dream becomes a nightmare. As something starts to shake the boat, you can’t help but think, “what… is… that!?” the boat begins to rock as screaming ensues. The terrified couple crashes into the water, frightened of what creature is below them. As the suspense builds, you feel your heart racing, only for it to all end suddenly with a screech. Followed by the pure silence of death.
