Utah Film Festival short screenplay finalist “A.I. Tag” written by Thom Jensen has been produced into a radio drama. The production was produced by Way Back When theater in partnership with the Utah Film Festival.
“I have never thought that I’d cry in a sci-fi thriller screenplay.” said screenplay judge Helena Zurc. “Thomas Jensen’s “A.I. Tag” is the most heart-breaking sci-fi screenplay I have ever read. The plot is unique and dwells on how we cope with death. As much as we wanted to hold on to something that makes the departed presence felt, reality finds its way to snaps us back with the truth, even the most advanced technology fails to shelter us from this reality. Heart-crushing and beautifully written breaks the norms with sci-fi and drama, undoubtedly something to look forward on the big screen.”
The plan to produce A.I. Tag was a joint partnership between the Utah Film Festival and Way Back When theater to help promote outstanding screenplays.
