Spread the love

Love makes our hearts grow. And falling in love makes it livelier than ever. However, the moment we get our hearts broken, we suddenly feel that cold stab in the middle of it that makes it beat slower. But did you know that there is a legitimate and specific medical condition called the heartbreak syndrome, which is dying because of a broken heart? Well, our main character in today’s highlight film’s may be experiencing some serious heart sickness from his recent breakup, his name is Martin from A.J Moss’ hilarious dark romance comedy “A Matter of Death”

If you’re looking to divert yourself from all the troubles of the world, or a grueling breakup, or maybe you’re simply a fan of chilling and watching movies all day, then you got to have A.J Moss’ short film “A Matter of Death” on the top of your must-see list. This movie gave me my first drop-dead laugh from a movie this year. And I sure had an awesome time watching. “A Matter of Death” sets in probably the most unconventional setup, and it sure was a hundred percent effective. Martin works as a caretaker of a church. He gets to witness interesting and out of the ordinary scenarios frequently, however, he started not minding them. Until one fateful day, he realizes that he is no longer feeling normal.

Feelings and sensations in his body are numb, and he starts to doubt if he is still alive. Coming from a recent breakup from a witch named Melancholia, he thinks he was cursed. And as their love died from the breakup, his body slowly died with it too. So he contacted his best friend, Beth, to try and find a way to fix his current situation. Beth, on the other hand, is hiding her true feeling for Martin. So when Martin suggested that he should go back to the source to fix his problem, Beth was not so glad about it, however, it seemed like it was their only chance of getting Martin to his old self. So they visited his witch ex-girlfriend and let her do her out of this world incantations on Martin. What will it take for Martin to be alive again? Is it the love from the past? Or the love that has been right in front of him the whole time? It is indeed a crazy hilarious ride bringing Martin back to life. So make sure you get yourself ready and get some tacos with you because you’ll surely crave some.

I super enjoyed watching “A Matter of Death” . It is original and hilarious. It is one of those short films that I would love to see as a t.v or web series because fifteen minutes is definitely not enough. I love the production, the costumes, and of course the taco effects. The cast is awesome and impressive too, particularly the collaboration of Bryce Allred and Iveta Welborn. This duo has that undeniable chemistry that makes me want to watch more of them.

Amazing work to A.J Moss, I am definitely on the lookout for more projects from this multi-talented director.
