Time is of the essence. Time is gold. And as everyone says, every second counts. What will you do when you are given the chance to go back seven seconds? Is it really a considerable amount of time? Is there anything big that can happen in seven seconds? Seven Seconds is a short film by David Bertoni and it is about a man who invented the time machine. He made a clock that can take the user back seven seconds. As he showed it to his friend, he is trying to prove that this amount of time can already be huge in the life of a person. And his best example is that seven seconds can be one’s lifesaver. And the ending is just a blast of laughter.

From start to finish, the plot is all about the time clock and proving that it will be a helpful invention. And yes, the short film is funny and entertaining even if it only lasted for a little over five minutes. In the beginning, I thought I will be watching an intense sci-fi short film but turns out to be something even better. It is a sci-fi – comedy short film with a futuristic effect! I love the pace and plots of this film. It is perfectly executed making the film interesting from start to finish. David Bertoni has written a hilarious film that will never bore the audience. This story is well written with an intelligent line of plots.

When it comes to presenting the story, acting is superb. I love it! The actors do not need to do excessive acting just to be funny. The simple and light way they deliver their lines made the film so funny already. Kudos to Dale Simonton and MarkDillen Stitham for their brilliant acting that appeared so natural and light. Editing and cinematography are great. The way the visual effects are added is good and eye appealing. Best of all, David Bertoni’s directing is the strength of this short film. He has stitched the scenes so seamlessly that he created a totally enjoyable five-minute film. Hats off to director David Bertoni and I would love to see more of his creations.

Seven Seconds is a comedy short film that gave me good laughs from start to finish. It is enjoyable and entertaining. For five minutes, I got so hooked with the story thinking what will happen to the characters once the button on the clock is pressed. It is excitingly fun and definitely a good watch. But when I thought about it, the film is trying to emphasize the importance of time in a person’s life. Yes, indeed, every second counts and in fact, life can be saved even if it only takes seven seconds. This short film is intelligent and fun. It does not need thrills and frills as the concept alone is already something worth watching. And to present it in a comic way, it is a smart act. If you would want to have a great time watching a short film, then you should see Seven Seconds.
