Filmmaking has evolved drastically over the years. Different forms of storytelling from standard motion picture to animation has kept our imagination fueled with stories beyond our minds. However, there are those classic touches that will never seem to go out of style. Particularly those that are based on books or something that feels like reading a book. Watching movies or t.v series with that kind of theme never fails to rekindle our present self to the child inside us. And today, we tackle an extraordinary animated feature that fits that description like a tee.

Written by Moyche Litchtenstein and Jonathan Sherr, “The Beast Rose Up!” is an experimental animated skit. Narrated by Jonathan Sherr and directed by Moyche Litchtenstein “The Beast Rose Up!” will pump up your day with amazement and an incredibly good time, so if you’re ready let’s dive into the incredible world of Wee Beasties!

Moyche Litchtenstein’s feature animation “The Beast Rose Up!” offers an eccentric skit of different kinds of prose, stories, and songs, which I did enjoy watching a whole hundred percent. It brought back childhood memories, wherein it was like opening a book, and every page promises an awesome part of the story, and you can’t wait to see what’s on the next page. It had so many unique, funny, interesting, and crazy characters called the Wee Beasties, who mostly, are caught up in bizarre and fun scenarios. They are like the alter ego of humans or the absurd part of ourselves that only exist in our mind. One of the factors that I loved about it is the combination of that classic touch and modernization on its aesthetics.

Moyche Litchtenstein gave it flair by enhancing it with vivid colors and with uncanny and notably impressive graphics. There were still shots and funny animated episodes that I enjoyed a lot. But apart from those, a huge factor that made it stand-out among many of the animated films I have screened this season is its sound design. It was a revelation. It awakened something that has been sleeping inside me for a very long time. Listening to the sound effects and the narration made the rawness of its visual presentation even more enhanced to the point that it adapts your mind to the story of each episode.

Jonathan Sherr, who led the vocal acting and narration, and the key cast for vocals and vocal arrangements namely Kristen Calvin, Jennifer Davis, Kyle Rawlins, Stratford Benjamin, Braden Day, and James Abdo were explicitly superb. They blew me away. Their vocal prowess and impressive talent in storytelling were indeed memorable. And now, with every book that I will read, the voices of these incredibly amazing talents will definitely penetrate my mind.

So, if you are looking for a remarkably unique animation with literary touch and a dash of the classics “The Beast Rose Up!” is my top recommendation. Not only because of the guaranteed enjoyable viewing and listening experience, but you’ll also meet many awesome Wee Beaties with every fun skits! Creative, unique, and totally amazing! Congrats to the team of The Beast Rose Up!
