“Sanctus Infernal” originated from a unique source – a Hypnagogia session experienced by Paravalos right before deep sleep. The film unfolds a tale where a bloodthirsty man encounters a mysterious woman in the desolate expanse of nowhere. A mere exchange of glances triggers violent and intrusive thoughts in the man’s mind, unveiling unexpected secrets held by the enigmatic woman.

Paravalos expressed his deep appreciation for the editing process. The meticulous craft of weaving together the story in the post-production phase resonated strongly with the filmmaker.

However every film comes with its fair share of challenges. For Paravalos, the most difficult part of production was the endeavor to make the fire effects appear convincing on screen. The dedication to authenticity and visual impact posed a formidable task during the filmmaking process.

Reflecting on the filmmaking journey, Paravalos shared insights into what he might do differently if given the chance to go back in time. He expressed a desire to shoot the dark slow-motion scenes with a higher-quality camera, underlining the importance of technical considerations in cinematography.

For aspiring filmmakers venturing into the production space, Paravalos recommends “Try to get your projects funded as soon as possible.” The financial aspect of filmmaking plays a crucial role in bringing creative visions to life, and securing funding early on can be a game-changer.
